Co Louth Golf Club or “Baltray” was founded in 1938. It is located in the village of Baltray Co Louth, 4 miles east from the historic town of Drogheda, on the R167 just an hour’s drive north of Dublin. With Co Louth Golf Club at the mouth of the river Boyne there can be no doubt that with the river to the south and the Irish Sea to the east this is Links golf at is very best.
The course is laid out in two loops covering some 190 acres with no two holes running in the same direction. The only exception being the 12th and 13th which run along the sea. At a length of almost 7,000 yards, Baltray is certainly not short, but when you consider the natural hazards of the links game combined with blowing winds and heavy rough, it becomes a difficult, though immensely enjoyable golf course.
Length: 7,143 yards
Royal Dublin Golf Club is a classic golf links located just north of Dublin city centre on the famous Bull Island nature reserve, it is only three miles from Dublin city centre and only a 15-minute drive from Dublin International Airport.
Royal Dublin Golf Club is Ireland’s second oldest golf club. Numerous championship events have been played out on this course, including the Irish Open. The course has an excellent out and back layout. The course has been lengthened by over 400 yards in total and it is now in excess of 7,200 yards. While accurate shot-making is beneficial, skillful course management is integral to doing well at Royal Dublin G.C.

Royal County Down Golf Club, founded in 1889, is located to the north of the seaside town of Newcastle on the east coast of Ireland. It is 30 miles south of Belfast and 90 miles north of Dublin. The club has 36-holes; the Championship Course measuring 7,037 yards Par 71 with a standard scratch of 75 off the blue tees and the somewhat shorter Annesley Links at 4,708 yards Par-66.
The Championship course is a links course that is renowned worldwide as one of the finest links tests in the world. The first nine holes are ranked by many as the finest opening nine anywhere. The constantly undulating layout will challenge every part of your game with “tightish” fairways, many grassy-topped pot bunkers and sloping, tricky greens – every hole is a classic links test.
