We received some exciting news in the South West last week with confirmation that one of our member clubs, Killarney Golf and Fishing Club, has been selected as the host venue for the 2025 European Amateur Team Championship.
The prestigious tournament brings together the best amateur golfers from across Europe to compete against one another. The Championship is organized by the European Golf Association and has was first held in 1959. Killarney previously hosted the event in 1975 when a Scotland defeated Italy on a score of 4 ½ to 2 ½.
