Top 100 golf courses in Ireland have been revealed for 2018 and once again the SWING courses feature prominently in the final rankings. Powerhouses include:
These can all once again be pleased with their high positioning which provides further confirmation of their outstanding quality.
Dooks Golf Links (#24) has edged closer to the top 20 by moving up one position from the 2017 ratings.
Killarney Killeen (#32) has also moved up one position from last year with Mahony’s Point (#91) retaining its position in the top 100.
The remaining SWING member courses are present in the list with presence of
Ballybunion Cashen (#57),
Dromoland (#59) and
Dingle Golf Links (#74) demonstrating the wide selection of top class golf the South West has to offer. SWING’s associate members the
Old Head (#14),
Trump Doonbeg (#21) and
Cork (#39) are all also well placed again this year.
The Volvo-sponsored list was drawn up by “a panel of industry experts and a second panel of 80 readers” who “spent months visiting golf courses throughout the island of Ireland,” the magazine said in a press release.
