Old Portmarnock Golf Club is known as one of the world’s truly great links courses.

Located on a small peninsula extending into the Irish Sea Old Portmarnock Golf Club is surrounded by water on 3 sides. The championships links is located 10 miles North of Dublin city just south of the lovely town of Malahide.

The quality and location of Old Portmarnock Golf Club have made it a superb venue for some great events and championships over the years. These include the British Amateur, the Canada Cup, the Walker Cup and Irish Open Championships.

Arnold Palmer been quoted as calling Portmarnock’s 15th hole, “the finest par-3 in the world.”

The W.C. Pickeman designed golf course is best known for its memorable set of finishing holes. These have proven a formidable test even for the most skilled golfers.

Highlights

Hole 15 is the signature hole on the course with a wonderful view of the beach and Irish Sea.

Facilities

Portmarnock Golf Club’s Pro Shop takes great pride in the warm welcome and service they offer to both members and visitors alike. With a wide selection of golf and leisurewear to choose from, there’s something for everyone.

 

Food & Drink

Relax in the Bradshaw Room or Dining Room and enjoy panoramic views of the links. The bar and dining facilities are open to all. Full lunch and dinner menus are available as are snacks and sandwiches.

Tournaments

Portmarnock Golf Club has hosted the British Amateur, the Canada Cup, the Walker Cup and 19 Irish Open Championships, including the inaugural event in 1927.
