As Portmarnock is located less than 15km from Dublin City Centre there is an abundance of options to fill your non-golfing time. From the Guinness Storehouse to Kilmainham Gaol, or Dublin Zoo to the National Aquatic Centre, there is something for everybody.
Pictured is Kilmainham Gaol, which is one of the largest unoccupied gaols in Europe. The gaol centred in some of the most heroic and tragic events in Ireland’s emergence as a modern nation from 1780s to the 1920s. Attractions include a major exhibition detailing the political and penal history of the prison and its restoration. A tour of the prison includes an audio-visual show.
